JA-YE Europe e Junior Achievement Italy welcome journalists either covering the Company of the Year Competition or looking for innovative business ideas coming from young students.
Each year students from throughout Europe come together to compete for the title of the JA-YE Europe Company of the Year. The participating companies are all winners of their national competitions.
Each team's challenge is to present their enterprises to a panel of judges and they will have several opportunities to make a good impression:
- they submit their annual report for review in advance
- make a 4-minute stage presentation outlining their achievements
- get grilled in an intensive interview process
- showcase their product/services at a public exhibition.
The jury examines each company's approach to communication, teamwork, problem-solving, objective-setting, planning and review, administration and financial systems, personnel management, product development, customer focus, marketing and sales, as well as financial results.
Aside from the Company of the Year title, each year there are a range of other themed awards up for grabs too.
